Here are the Democratic candidates for 2018!  On the left are the State-wide and our Federal candidates and on the right are those running for Cherokee County House and Senate seats.  If you click on their name, you'll be taken to their website where you can find out more about them and, if you are so inclined, please contribute to their campaign.

Lillian is a retired public school teacher, but is still in the classroom as a substitute teacher.  Her main focus is education, but she's also interested in fair wages, Medicaid expansion, better treatment of our veterans, as are all of our candidates.

Melanie Whitfield - 21st             map

Started a successful home based graphic creation and wholesale commercial printing company in 2015 and in 2017, became a bus driver for Cherokee County Schools in addition to running her marketing business from home.

Charles Ravenscraft - 22nd       map

Since joining the IBEW union, he has helped build many buildings across the state, including the new Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton. Charles now works for the Union directly as a field organizer.

Adam Wynn - 23rd                      map

Adam is a Business Development Consultant, entrepreneur, and an Internet Software Professional specializing in internet safety and cybersecurity. Adam is also the son of working-class Americans.

Karin Sandiford - 46th           map   

KarĂ­n is a business owner and managing partner of LATAM INNOVATION, LLC.   She served as chairperson of the GALEO Ambassador Committee, is a member of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Women in Technology, and the Georgia Diversity Council.

State Senate

Rachel Kinsey - 14th         map   

Along with managing a business with her husband, she is also a board member of a non-profit organization, Hands Across Atlanta where she works alongside many talented board members and thousand of volunteers each month to provide food, toiletries, dental care, and other essentials for the homeless veteran population in Atlanta.

Nicole Nash - 21st              map 

A former Councilmember in Kentucky, she is a small business owner and an advocate who serves her community on the board of directors of multiple nonprofits and working in healthcare advocacy.  She also authored Special Populations in Healthcare.  As an advocate, she strives to improve healthcare access for all.

Ellyn Jeager - 56th   

Ellyn has spent the last 30 years working for non-profits on issues affecting her community and our State. Quality of life issues, such as mental health, substance use and aging have been her focus. She has worked with legislators on both sides of the aisle, peers, families, advocates and educators - all dedicated to finding better health outcomes for Georgians.
