HB 10

This bill removes mugshots of individuals who have not been convicted from the pay-for-services websites. Photos of “notorious” cases can be released to the press.

HB 35

This bill increases the pay for special prosecutors to $250 per hour and up to $110 per hour for staff with yearly increases for inflation.

This bill amends the incest law to include step-grandparents and step-grandchildren.

HB 285

This bill provides for a procedure to purge names of individuals who were involuntarily committed to a mental health hospital from the criminal background checklist rather than have the computer purge these names automatically.

HB 675

This bill creates a felony and penalty for tangible and financial terrorist acts; the intent is to allow local prosecutors to hold people accountable for supporting terrorist acts, including individuals who provide for a known terrorist organization, commit terrorism, or knowingly support terrorism.

HB 384

This bill standardizes the oath of office taken by peace officers throughout Georgia.

HB 464

This bill provides immunity for individuals reporting a violent crime in which they are not the predominant aggressor. The purpose is to protect victims of sexual assault and aggravated assault.
