Cherokee Young Democrats are excited to announce ‘Blue Wave Summer Kick-Off,’ a family-focused candidate meet-and-greet designed specifically for our community’s busiest residents. On Saturday, June 6, from 10-1 at Cherokee Veteran’s Park, we’re inviting local parents and young professionals to skip the formal town hall and join us for a casual morning of conversation. We recognize that for many voters, the biggest barrier to civic engagement isn’t a lack of interest—it’s a lack of childcare. We’re helping by bringing the candidates directly to the playground!

This event is entirely free to attend, featuring free popsicles and entertainment for the kids and direct, low-pressure access to local candidates for the adults. It’s a ‘come-as-you-are’ environment where you can get the answers you need while the kids burn off some energy.
